The Perseverance of Albert Einstien
Albert Einstein was one of the greatest scientists in history, along with Galileo Galilei and Sir Isaac Newton. Albert Einstein persevered by overcoming many obstacles in life including his Rough Childhood, Physical Obstacles, and Family Issues. As he overcame these obstacles, he proved to himself and everyone else that he wasn’t “slow”, but intelligent.
Albert’s Rough Childhood
Albert Einstein persevered by not giving into his Rough Childhood and not letting it get in the way of him. He had a Rough Childhood. Albert Einstein attended a Catholic Elementary School, where he did not excel at all. He had problems in Language class and since he didn’t like to memorize the things he was taught, he did rather poorly in school. His teachers and the students at his school thought of him as an “oddball”and thought he was “slow.” His headmaster of his school told Albert’s parents that “It didn’t matter what profession the boy prepared for because he would never be successful at anything”. He didn’t feel comfortable with the other boys that were around. He would frequently sit alone, composing little songs and hymns, playing perform them to himself on his family’s piano. At the age of 12, he found an Algebra textbook and became absolutelyunquestionably obsessed fantasized with it. From then on , he read a great deal of the book and taught himself differential and integral calculus. He still didn’t like school, though and didn’t do his work. At the age of 15, he was asked to leave his Catholicschool
because his “indifference to schoolwork set a bad example for the other kids.” But when he left school, he joined his parents in Italy, and gave up his citizenship to Germany. He wasn’t a citizen anywhere until 1901 where he became a Swiss Citizen. He got admittance to Swiss Federal Institute of Technology on his second try.
Science/Physics/Mathematical Successes
Despite Albert Einstein’s Rough Childhood, He had MANY successes. He Discovered the famous formula, E=MC2. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. He discovered the Atomic Bomb by accident, and didn’t want it to be used for dangerous purposes. He Unified the Law of Physics. He couldn’t have done any of this without his knowledge and love of mathematics and physics.
Community Successes
Along with Albert Einstein’s successes in Science, Physics, and Mathematic successes, he had many community successes. Israel offered Albert Einstein presidency, but even though he was touched, he politely declined the requested. He was offered to be a professor at the Institute for Advanced Physics and Albert accepted. He went through many struggles and people who protested against his theories but he ignored it and shrugged it off.
Conclusion
Albert Einstein was one of the greatest scientists in history, along with Galileo Galilei and Sir Isaac Newton. Albert Einstein persevered by overcoming many obstacles in life including his Rough Childhood, Physical Obstacles, and Family Issues. As he overcame these obstacles, he proved to himself and everyone else that he wasn’t “slow”, but intelligent.
